We continue our story through the last section of I Samuel 15. This chapter begins with the horrific annihilation of the Amalekites, and ends with a gentle prophet hacking a man into pieces with a sword.

The most tragic aspect of this chapter, however, is in the middle when Samuel delivers the news that God has rejected Saul as King over Israel.

God regrets that He had made Saul king.
